Staying Safe with Ms. Nicole | Team Work Makes the Dream Work

Team Work Cogbill Construction

Andrew Carnegie once wrote “Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.” In all companies, teamwork is the foundation. This allows the company to achieve goals and meet deadlines. As the saying goes, teamwork is what makes the dream work.

Material Handling & Storage

Cogbill safety meetings are always important to our operations. This week we discussed the importance of maintaining work space. At this time we have a copious amount of material on our property. During the meeting we discussed the safety precautions below:

-Do not crowed walkways or door entrances.

-Stacking material beyond stability is dangerous.

-Do not stack incompatible materials together.

Moving material can be a safety hazard. Follow the tips below to stay safe in the work zone:

-Always be knowledgeable of the material weight.

-Do not rig and move material heavier then recommended load capacity

-Do not manually move material that is too heavy, grab a partner.

-If material is too heavy to manually move, use the forklift.

-Accidents can happen at any time. Our goal is to stop accidents before they happen.
